I heard someone once say, “If you lose EVERYTHING….and you still got God….you have MORE THAN ENOUGH….to start all over again!!!!”
This is the 8th month of the year. And not everything has gone the way you may have panned it. But, there is good news ahead of this….You get a chance to start over because 8 is God’s number for a New Beginning!!! But, in order to reboot…you have to get rid of some things…
Hebrews 12:1-2A
- Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
- Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;
Today, look to Jesus to get all the dead weight off of you. Today, is your day to get rid of past relationships, hurt, pain, anger, frustrations, irritations, grudges, sorrow, depression, suicidal thoughts, stress…..all the weights you have been carrying; especially the weights that don’t belong to you!!!
How many times have you picked up the burdens of someone else? Just because they are cool, close, family, or you think you can handle it…how many times?? Here is another question….are you STILL carrying that weight?? WHY??? Because you can?? Do you even know why?
Matthew 11:23
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
The most important part is the first 3 words: “Come unto ME”. Simply put, Jesus says you don’t HAVE TO carry that weight…He intends to!!!!! So today, take this moment, to tell God EVERYTHING that is bothering and hindering you….because He wants to take that weight off of you….and allow you to Start…All….Over…AGAIN!!!!!
